Kenneth Blum is widely designated as Father of Psychiatric Genetics because of the of the DRD2 gene and its correlation with various psychiatric disorders including the “Reward Deficiency Syndrome” (RDS) which term he has coined. He is also known as the “Father of Neuro- Nutrient Therapy” for his discovery of successful nutrient therapy for RDS. He holds numerous domestic and foreign patents and is co-founder and Chairman & CSO of LifeGen Inc. He is a former Full Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas; Volunteer Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & McKnight Brain Institute, University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, Florida and Adjunct Full Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Burlington, Vermont. He currently serves as Neuroscience advisor for Dominion Diagnostics., LLC North Kingstown, Rhode island, Malibu Beach Recovery Center, Malibu Beach California, and is the Scientifi c Director of PATH Foundation NY, New York. He is an honorary Faculty of IIOAB, India. He has been recently appointed Chief Scientific Officer(CSO) of G&G Holistic Addiction Treatment Centers in North Miami Beach Florida. To his credit he has over 400 publications in peer reviewed journals, 14 books and has received many awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Institute of Holistic Addiction Studies.

Dr Roseman is an expert in high conflict and child custody. He has worked in the co-parenting field since 1999 when he served as Assistant Director for Child Access Services with the Children’s Rights Council (CRC) in Washington, DC. He worked closely with Attorney David L. Levy, co-founder of the CRC to help bring joint custody to nearly 30 states. Today, Dr Roseman is the CEO of the Toby Center for Family Transitions which he founded in 2010. Based in Delray Beach, Florida, the Toby Center has emerged a major provider of supervised visitation services and reunification therapy in South and Central Florida. He served as a columnist with Knight Ridder Tribune Syndicate and a current contributor to the Huffington Post Online. A father of three, Dr. Roseman earned his doctorate in Family Studies from the Union Institute & University with a speciality in therapeutic interventions for high conflict divorce, and shared parenting issues accompanying parental separation and divorce.

Jacob Barg graduated from the Kaplan Medical Center. He completed his Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science in 1989. He performed a two-year postdoctoral research in the Department of Biochemistry at St. Louis University. Following that, he joined the Department of Biochemistry as an assistant research professor and then Head of Research and Development at Wolfson Medical Center. He joined the Ashkelon Academic College, Department of Criminology to continue his contribution for the scientific welfare. Dr. Jacob Barg is a member of Israeli Olympic Committee for the Prevention of Sports Doping & also Presiding Judge of the Israeli National Committee and the Israeli Olympic Committee for the Prevention of Sports Doping

Professor Horace Loh received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Iowa in 1965. Currently he is a Regents Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, at the University of Minnesota. He served as an associate editor of Annual Review of Pharmacology and Toxicology and of Current Opinion in Pharmacology. He has over 645 publications. His professional associations include membership in the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, Society of Chinese Bioscientists in America, College on Problems of Drug Dependence, American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and Western Pharmacology Society. Dr. Loh has been recognized by the University of Minnesota as a Regents Professor, the first recipient of the Medical School’s Distinguished Senior Scientist Award, and one of the first inductees into the Academic Health Center’s Academy of Excellence. Other honors include the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine’s Distinguished Alumnus Award; Nathan B. Eddy Memorial Award, College on Problems of Drug Dependence; Otto Krayer Award in Pharmacology, American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics; Award in Excellence, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America Foundation; and Method to Extend Research in Time Award, Research Scientist Award, and Career Development Award, from the National Institutes of Health

As the author of Tell Me No, I Dare You: A Guide for Living a Heroic Life, Scott shares strategies for living an authentic and fulfilling life. Scott is also a charismatic speaker with a passion for helping people achieve their goals in life. His presentations are no-holds-barred; they describe barriers to treatment, what works (also shedding light on ineffective approaches) and how individuals, communities, and work environments can get help for those around them. Scott shares, “As a society, we are not prepared for the challenges that the new wave of addiction is bringing.” Scott’s presentations, geared toward organizations he is working with—individuals and their families struggling with addiction—help to create an effective action plan to move forward. Scott has received numerous awards and honours including being named CNN Hero of the Week and the City of San Diego honoured him by selecting February 19 as “Scott Silverman Day” for his contributions to the community. As the Founder of Second Chance, Scott worked to break the cycle of substance abuse, unemployment, poverty, and homelessness. For over 15 years, Scott assisted more than 25,000 people in San Diego with job readiness training, employment placement assistance, mental health counselling, case management, and affordable housing referrals to people who desire to change their lives.

Biography :

Dr. Rajendra D. Badgaiyan, MD, is a psychiatrist and cognitive neuroscientist. He is Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Richmond University Medical Center, and Professor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He received formal training in psychiatry, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, molecular imaging and neuroimaging. He was awarded the prestigious BK Anand National Research Prize in India and Solomon Award of Harvard Medical School. His research is focused on the study of neural and neurochemical mechanisms that control human brain functions. He developed the single scan dynamic molecular imaging technique (SDMIT) to detect, map, and measure neurotransmitters released acutely in the human brain during task performance. This technique is now used in laboratories all over the world. Using this technique, he studies dopaminergic control of human cognition and behavior. He is also interested in learning the nature of dysregulated dopamine neurotransmission in psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions. His research is funded by NIMH, NINDS, VA, and various foundations. Previously he served in the faculty of Harvard Medical School, SUNY Buffalo and University of Minnesota. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.

Press permission must be obtained from Allied Academies Conference Organizing Committee prior to the event. The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. Requesting an Invitation Letter

 

For security purposes, letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference after payment of complete registration fee. Once registration is complete, please contact addiction@neurologymeeting.com to request for a personalized letter of invitation, if not received until one month before the scheduled date of event.

 

All the bank charges applicable during refund will be deducted from the account of participant.

 

Cancellation Policy

 

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing to finance@alliedacademies.com

 

If, due to any reason, Allied academies postpone an event on the scheduled date, the participant is eligible for a credit of 100% of the registration fee paid. This credit shall only be used for another event organized by Allied academies within period of one year from the date of rescheduling.

 

Postponement of event

 

If, due to any reason, Allied academies postpone an event and the participant is unable or unwilling to attend the conference on rescheduled dates, he/she is eligible for a credit of 100% of the registration fee paid. This credit shall only be used for another event organized by Allied academies within period of one year from the date of rescheduling.

 

Transfer of registration

 

All registrations, after payment of complete registration fee, are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if in case the person is unable to attend the event. Request for transfer of registration must be made by the registered person in writing to finance@alliedacademies.com. Details must include the full name of replaced new registrant, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

 

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied academies if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

 

However, Registration cannot be transferred if intimated within 14 days of respective conference.

 

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

 

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

 

Allied academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

 

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues are not covered under the cancellation policy of Allied academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

 

Refund Policy:

 

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund policies apply:

 

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overhead charges, following Refund Policy Orders are available:

 

l  Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund after deduction of $100 towards service Fee.

l  Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund

l  Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund

l  E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.

 

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Service Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies which are applicable when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. If in case the registrant wishes to cancel or amend the accommodation, he/ she is expected to inform the organizing authorities on a prior basis. Allied academies will advise the registrant to ensure complete awareness about the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancellation or modification of their booking.
