Substance abuse and dependence are the common disorders that come to our mind when we hear about the addictive disorder. This addictive disorder alters the brain’s ability to send and receive chemicals called neurotransmitter. The abnormal behaviour of a person can be seen when they are affected by mental illness. People with addictive disorders may be aware of their problems but they are unable to stop it though they want to end it. This affects them mentally which leads to preventable illnesses and premature death. These disorders can be treated if it is under proper observation and medical treatment.
